Today, we’re excited to share an important milestone for Pre-College Anthropology Dialogues (PCAD): we have officially submitted our first workshop proposal to the American Anthropological Association (AAA) Annual Meeting.

Our proposed session, “Intergenerational Dialogue on Pre-College Anthropology,” invites anthropologists, educators, mentors, and institutional leaders to explore a question that is important for the future of both pre-college scholars and anthropology as a field, especially in this challenging time: How can our discipline better identify, engage, and support exceptional anthropological talent before college?
Designed and led by high school students with college-level research experience, the workshop combines the World Café process with the Collective Narrative Methodology to surface practical insights, identify opportunities, and strengthen pathways between pre-college scholars and the professional anthropological community.
We’re deeply grateful to everyone who has encouraged this work so far. More updates soon—and, if accepted, we look forward to seeing many fellow AAA members in St. Louis, MO this November.
