Our First Online Consultation
Are you a high school student with a serious interest in anthropology? Join the first national consultation of the Pre-College Anthropology Dialogues (PCAD) and help shape how the next generation of anthropologists is integrated into the professional community.
In late June 2026, a select group of delegates from across North America will gather for a 2-hour online consultation to identify opportunities, barriers, and actionable ideas for strengthening connections between pre-college scholars and the broader anthropological field.
Outcomes will be documented and shared publicly to help influence future conversations including through our presence at the American Anthropological Association Annual Meeting in St. Louis, MO in November 2026.

Creating space for pre-college anthropologists to identify opportunities, barriers, and actionable ideas for strengthening connections between young scholars and the broader anthropological field.
As an example of future conversations you can help shape as a delegate, here is a session proposal we submitted to the American Anthropological Association (currently under review)
Joining as a delegate is an entry point for shaping our dialogue with the professional anthropological community and exploring future leadership opportunities within the PCAD network.
Logistics
The application process for the June consultation is designed to build a diverse and committed delegate pool. Please note the following key logistics for your participation:
- Applications are open until June 10, 2026, or until the delegate pool is full.
- Space is limited to ensure meaningful dialogue.
- Delegates are confirmed on a rolling basis; early application is encouraged.
